IA extends fintech programme to CanadaThe UK’s trade group, the Investment Association (IA), has announced the latest recruits to its fintech accelerator programme, Engine.

The IA has also signed a memorandum of understanding with FinTech Cadence, an accelerator based in Montreal.

The agreement makes it  the IA’s 13th global partner.

The five firms are BehaviorQuant, which uses behavioural science and machine learning; mobile fund data platform AM Insights; Intellibonds, an AI-augmented SaaS platform for fixed income; Propellant Digital, a fixed income-focused reg-tech; and shareholder voting platform Tumelo.

The association has also published a whitepaper, ‘Blueprint for FinTech Engagement and Onboarding’ which it describes as “an overview of the current fintech landscape.

“Innovation is key to ensuring that as an industry, we remain at the top of our game in delivering for our customers around the world and that the UK continues to be a leading global hub for investment management,” said Gillian Painter, head of membership and Engine. “IA Engine has a valuable role to play in achieving this.”
