JP Morgan and Bloomberg make market data plays

JP Morgan, Bloomberg, market, data, Wall Street, market data services, institutional investorsTwo of the biggest names on Wall Street have released separate market data services aimed at institutional investors.

JP Morgan has added a sustainable investment data product suite to its data analytics platform Fusion.

The data feed will pull relevant data from a number of information providers, including Bloomberg, Equileap, FactSet, ISS ESG and MSCI.

According to JP Morgan, the platform is designed to provide investors with normalised data from a variety of sources – something that is much in demand for the notoriously fragmented world of sustainability data.

“Data for sustainable investing is particularly challenging given its scale, inconsistency, and incompleteness,” said Gerard Francis, head of data solutions at JP Morgan.

Meanwhile, financial information provider Bloomberg has launched its Fund Data Solution service, which provides market data on mutual funds, fund of funds and hedge funds as well as ETFs.

The service will also deliver ESG scores and analytics for funds and the portfolio companies within them.
