BNP Paribas SS scores ABN Amro outsourcing deal

BNP Paribas SS, ABN Amro, outsourcing,ABN Amro Investment Solutions is to outsource its dealing and middle office functions to BNP Paribas Securities Services.

The move is part of a strategic plan devised by the Dutch asset manager to optimise its technological infrastructure and tools.

BNPP SS will provide dealing and middle office services via BlackRock’s Aladdin, which has been adopted by ABN Amro as its investment management platform.

The deal is a success for the French asset servicer, which, like many of its asset servicing peers, has sought to expand its outsourcing offering to cover front-office functions like dealing and middle-office processes as well as the traditional back-office tasks such as fund administration and custody.

“We want to provide our clients with innovative solutions that enable them to seamlessly connect their front, middle and back office and eliminate the risks that come with duplication of information and repetitive manual inputs,” said Arnaud Claudon, head of asset owners and managers client lines, securities services at BNP Paribas.
