Kneip appoints new CEO

Luxembourg mapLuxembourg-based fund data management company Kneip has named Elisa Alonso Sanz as chief executive officer.

Effective from July, she replaces Enrique Sacau who is relocating to London after four years in the role.

Sanz joins from Dutch bank ABN Amro where she is currently chief operating officer.

She has previously worked at State Street, Nomura and BNP Paribas in a number of leadership roles.

Her career also spans asset servicing, asset management and private banking in Europe and the Middle East.

Sanz’s appointment comes two years after Kneip was acquired by Deutsche Boerse.

Her appointment was welcomed by Kneip chairman Philippe Seyll.  “[Sanz] is the right person to be leading Kneip in its next phase of growth, as she brings a wealth of experience from the client side and truly understands what our market wants.”

Seyll also paid tribute to her predecessor. “During [Sacau’s] tenure, he transformed Kneip into a market leader in fund data management whilst revitalising the company culture, and we will remember him fondly."
