US retail trading platforms launch in the UK

emerging technology newThe UK retail investment market welcomed two US-based trading platforms that have separately launched in the UK.

Webull Securities has debuted its retail brokerage service, which enables users to trade fractional shares and US-listed equities through its online app.

The company was authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has been building up its team since then.

“We believe there is great potential in the UK and look forward to rapidly expanding our product range to cater to our customers in the region,” said Webull CEO Anthony Denier.

Meanwhile multi-asset investment platform Public has launched in the UK, its first venture outside the US market.

The app offers trading in US equities as well as data analysis and zero-commission trading.

“London and the broader UK market has always been the financial epicentre of Europe, so it’s a natural place for Public to start our international expansion,” said Leif Abraham, co-CEO and co-founder of Public.
