SimCorp replaces chief executive

PromotionInvestment management software firm SimCorp has named Christian Kromann as its latest chief executive.

Kromann has been promoted from his former position as chief operating officer, a role he served since August 2019.

He succeeds Klaus Holse who has been chief executive since 2012 and will stay on as a member of the executive board until the end of the year and as a senior adviser until September 2022.

Holse’s nine year tenure coincided with a period of growth and consolidation for software firms in the asset management industry.

SimCorp has also announced a number of partnerships with large asset managers in recent months, including an operational data partnership with JP Morgan and an alliance with State Street to offer operational outsourcing for the insurance asset management market.

A statement from SimCorp paid tribute to Holse’s “immense contribution” to SimCorp’s “ongoing transformation”.
