Fund administrator Maitland has added to its technology team after naming JP Khaitan as head of technology services – fund services.
Based in South Africa, Khaitan will report to managing director of global fund services Jon Hugill in the newly created role and will be responsible for defining the firm’s IT strategy as well as overseeing its deployment.
Prior to his appointment, Khaitan was technology advisor within the COO office of a large sovereign wealth fund.
“Fund managers want to concentrate on what they do best: running client money,” said Khaitan.
“As regulatory pressure grows, they increasingly rely on their partners – like Maitland – to support them with efficient and modern administration services.”
