UK fund manager Janus Henderson has appointed former State Street executive James Lowry as its global chief operating officer.
He is due to take up the newly created role in October and will be based in London, reporting to chief executive Dick Weil.
Current head of operations Graham Foggin will continue in his role, reporting to Lowry.
Lowry was previously the chief operating officer of State Street Alpha, the asset servicer’s front to back outsourcing offering, a role he assumed in January 2020.
He spent more than 10 years at State Street in a series of operational and tech roles.
At Janus Henderson, Lowry will oversee operations, technology, data governance and architecture, change management and strategic vendor oversight.
