Cyprus-based cryptocurrency fund Ark36 has appointed Anto Paroian as executive director and chief executive.
It is a promotion for Paroian, who was brought in last year as chief operating officer.
According to Ark36, Paroian’s experience in the hedge fund, private equity and real assets space helped elevate the firm from “a start-up to a globally recognised alternative investment fund”.
His work to date has focused on due diligence and data analytics, as well as headhunting and streamlining existing processes.
Prior to joining Ark36, Paroian worked at UK-based alternative assets consultancy Albourne Partners where he formed and led its data analytics team.
In addition to Paroian’s appointment, the firm has also promoted Despina Saphiris to executive director and risk manager, Tetyana Martynenko to money laundering compliance officer and Christos Krokides to portfolio manager.
