Aegon Asset Management, the fund management arm of the Dutch insurer, has appointed Nicole Grootveld-Sandig as its chief technology officer.
Based in The Hague, she will report to global chief administration officer Sander Maatman.
The role gives Grootveld-Sandig responsibility for implementing the firm’s enterprise architecture plans and overseeing governance of technology design and information security.
She was previously chief operations officer and director of investment management services for Dutch pension fund MN NV Vermogensbeheer, where she was responsible for managing its shared service centre.
Grootveld-Sandig has also worked as COO for the Dutch office of Cardano Risk Network as well as financial services firms ABN Amro and Royal Bank of Canada.
